Join us on January 16th at 10:00am for an 'Empower Hour' where we will illuminate your mind and empower your success! We'll be talking with Tim Ervin, Executive Director of the Bloomington Normal Water Reclamation District, about how the District affects your clients and business. We'll also learn a little history behind the BNWRD, how it is funded, incentives like connection fee reduction, septic-to-sewer conversation program and the septic tank closure program, and their current initiatives to better the Bloomington-Normal area. This is a FREE member event. Registration is required. Additional Info: The Bloomington & Normal Water Reclamation District provides wastewater treatment services to the City of Bloomington, Town of Normal, Village of Downs, and Bloomington Township Public Water District. The strategic goal of the district is to protect public health and the environment. Timothy Ervin joined the district in 2013 and has served as the Administrative Director, Assistant Executive Director, and Executive Director since 2022. He is a graduate of Illinois State University with a master's in accountancy and is a Certified Public Finance Officer (CPFO). He has led the district in its efforts to modernize two treatment facilities and the forty-mile interceptor sewer system to comply with new EPA water quality standards, replacement aging infrastructure, increase hydraulic capacity, and enact maintenance and operational efficiencies. An overview of on-going projects will be presented as well as efforts to assist with on-going challenges within the community.
