Shed those unwanted electronics and shred confidential documents, files and other sensitive information with MIRA on December 6th, from 1:30-3:00PM! 

This is a drive-up and drop-off FREE MEMBER-ONLY EVENT PROVIDED BY MIRA thanks to our sponsors, MRED, Novus Mortgage and Hjerpe & Tennison. Complimentary coffee and cookies will be served. 

Advanced registration is required. By registering, you are agreeing to abide by the restrictions below.

Shredding Restrictions:

• Limit 5 bags/boxes of documents to be shredded per person
• No plastic, glass or trash will be accepted
• Remove all binders and paperclips before drop off
• Must take all bags/boxes with you after materials are shredded

Electronics NOT Accepted:

• Items containing Beryllium/Radioactive materials: smoke detectors, medical equipment, home alarm systems, hearing aid, thermostats, oscilloscopes, radiation equipment, surveying equipment and temperature instruments
• Items containing liquids or chemicals: gas, gasoline powered equipment, oil, paint, pressurized cylinders, compressed gas tank cylinders, liquid/elemental mercury
• Items containing freon or white goods: refrigerators, dish washers, stoves, washers, dryers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers
• Hazardous Waste: PCB ballasts (found in light fixtures), capacitors (found in x-ray machines), biological hazards (mold, bodily fluids, etc.) ammunition, crushed lead glass
• Materials contaminated with mercury: refrigerators, dish washers, stoves, washers, dryers, air conditioners, dehumidifiers
• Materials contaminated with batteries: All batteries not agreed upon with account representative from Kuusakoski Recycling will be considered contaminated material
• Trash: wood cased electronics, VHS/Cassette/8 track/ data tapes, CD's, DVD's, Blue Rays, packaging materials, clothing, fabric cased materials, glass, rubber, non-electronic toys
